Terms for the AI Tools

1. Who you are dealing with

SoftQuill Labs and our payment partner

The tools are made and run by SoftQuill Labs, an independent software studio in Bengaluru, India, run by Raman Patel. Paid plans are sold through our payment partner, Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live, and issues your receipt. By using the tools you agree to these terms, our Terms of Service, our Refund Policy and the privacy notice for the tools.

2. Free use

The free daily allowance

Anyone can use the tools free, without an account, up to the daily allowance shown on each tool page (currently 5 invoice files or 5 catalog pages a day per browser). The allowance resets at 05:30 IST (midnight UTC). To keep the free tier available to everyone, we also limit requests per network and per day across the whole site, and we use a bot check. We may change the free allowance at any time.

3. Paid plans

Packs, monthly plans and licence keys

What you buy: a number of invoice files or catalog pages you can process across both tools. One invoice file or one catalog page counts as one, and every 50 spreadsheet rows of a catalog count as one page. Files that the tool fails to read are not counted.

One-time packs (Batch pass, Batch pack) give a fixed allowance that must be used within the period stated on the pricing section. Anything unused at the end of that period expires.

Monthly plans (Pro, Firm, CA firm) renew automatically each month until you cancel, and the allowance resets on each renewal. Unused files or pages do not carry over. You can cancel at any time; you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.

Licence keys: after payment you receive a licence key, which unlocks your allowance when entered on a tool page. You may use it yourself and share it with people in your own business or firm. Do not publish it, resell it, or share it outside your business. We may disable a key that is shared publicly or used to get around these terms, and we will tell you by email if we do.

Prices: visitors in India are offered rupee plans and everyone else dollar plans, based on the country of the visitor and the payment card. Rupee prices include GST. Dollar prices exclude tax; any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live is added at checkout. If we change the price of a monthly plan, we will email subscribers at least 14 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

4. Accuracy

Check the results before you rely on them

The tools use an AI model (Google Gemini) to read documents. AI reading is good but not perfect: it can misread numbers, dates, tax IDs or product details, especially on scanned or low-quality files. The built-in checks (such as GSTIN format and tax totals) flag many problems but cannot catch every mistake. You are responsible for checking the output before you file a tax return, pay a supplier, reconcile accounts or import products into a store. The tools do not give tax, accounting or legal advice.

5. Acceptable use

What you may not do

Only upload documents you are allowed to process. Do not use the tools for anything illegal, upload malware, or try to get around the usage limits, bot check or licence system (for example by automating requests, calling the tool APIs directly, or spreading use across many browsers or networks). Do not try to copy, resell or offer the tools as your own service. We may block access that breaks these rules.

6. Availability and liability

Service as provided

We work to keep the tools available but cannot promise they will always be up, error-free, or work with every document layout. We may change or improve features. If we ever stop offering the tools, we will refund the unused part of any pack bought in the previous 90 days and stop charging monthly plans. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the tools is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, penalties or the cost of correcting filings. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

7. Law and changes

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and changes do not apply to a pack or month you have already paid for.
